Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Negotiates contracts with vendors for supplies for each specific season, Travels and identifies the proper title of the farms, verifies that the land is free and clear, that grower is capable of supplying product.
- Negotiates the terms of the contract and presents the complete negotiation to management.
- Controls and coordinates purchase of products based upon predetermined requirements established on a periodic basis by general managers of operating divisions

- Works with warehouse to verify inventory and to determine what inventory should be moved first.
- Assists in the formulation of purchasing policy and insures compliance accordingly

Job Description:
The Agricultural Field Operations is responsible for evaluating, procuring, and ensuring agricultural products that meet company specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
General Responsibilities
- Determine availability and quality of agricultural product in fields.
- Forecast and report to the company on upcoming harvestable product, as well as ensure that harvested product meets the company’s specifications.
- Procure agricultural products for the company to market outside of its current grower base.

I. SUMMARY:
Under broad direction from the Board of Directors of the National Mango Board (NMB), the Executive Director develops and oversees strategic goals, project plans, and program initiatives that promote the growth of mango consumption and NMB products while complying with regulatory standards; builds relationships with growers, distributors, regulatory officials, and industry representatives; directs the work of staff, contractors, and consultants; and performs other related work as needed.
II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
The functions listed below are intended as illustrations of the various types of work that is performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical job assignment given work needs.
- Provides executive leadership in formulating NMB strategic plan, business development plan, financial objectives, and operating goals, to promote product research, production, and distribution.
- Analyzes and assures compliance with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) and Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS) management and financial standards, and audit review guidelines.
- Works directly with the NMB Executive Committee, other committees, and staff to prepare reports related to crop projections, import volumes, retail, overhead expenses, and other reports for Board, USDA and industry representatives in relation to goal attainment.
- Recommends and evaluates the effectiveness of business tactics for the marketing, communications, research, and industry relations programs.
- Plans, evaluates, and presents agenda items and reports upon the status of policies and Board requests; facilitates meetings and strengthens and sustains relationships with Board representatives to assure attainment of Board goals and committee needs, complete projects, and implement approved action items.
- Represents the NMB as spokesperson and works with the produce industry, importers, exporters, governmental officials, media, trade groups, sponsors, general public, and other parties in generating demand for mango.
- Conducts industry outreach efforts and represents NMB at a variety of trade shows, conferences, mango industry functions, marketing events, and travels to domestic and international locations to build and strengthen relationships and networks.
- Attends business meetings, initiates ideas, resolves conflicts, and fosters effective relationships with staff, industry and governmental representatives, auditors, consultants, and other stakeholders, according to NMB policies and procedures.
- Interfaces with representatives of USDA, US Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Customs, and other agencies and officials to discuss regulations, standards, and potential improvements in product supply, environmental compliance, and consumer demand; works with legal counsel to resolve issues.
- Oversees the reporting of financial assets and activities, including general accounting and the reporting of cash disbursements, purchases, invoices, and assessments in accordance with financials standards.
- Directs, reviews, and approves the preparation of human resources and administrative policies and practices, including the NMB Employee Handbook, Operations Manual, and related organizational policies and practices.
- Oversees the work of NMB staff, consultants, and contractors; plans, organizes, and assigns work, sets priorities, determines staff development needs; evaluates staff work performance; assures that audits and reports are filed in a complete and accurate manner.
- Negotiates and administers professional service agreements with firms specializing in consumer advertising, public relations, marketing, foodservice, retail merchandising, data services, trade advertising, industry communications, and other services.
- Defines major work goals and project priorities; describes accomplishments and areas for staff development on a continuing basis; coaches, counsels, and motivates members of the team to achieve individual and organizational goals.
- Directs orientation session for new Board members.

III. QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Education & Experience:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, or related field is required. Master’s degree in Management, Communications, or a related field is highly desirable.
2. Fifteen (15) or more years of broad and progressively responsible management, planning, operations, and trade association experience in a field related to agricultural production, product management, sales, and public relations is highly desirable.
3. Prior executive level experience, leading an entire organization or managing one or more major departments is highly desirable, including having accountability for Board relations of a private, public, and/or non-profit entity. Certification as an Association Executive and certification in Corporate Governance is highly desirable.
B. Industry and Government Knowledge in the following areas is desirable:
1. Mango industry and produce marketing practices, including logistics and distribution networks.
2. Strategic planning, advertising, pricing, and product research practices.
3. Principles of corporate governance and AMS Guidelines.
4. U.S. Customs requirements governing product assessment procedures.

Job Summary:

Help Desk Level 2 Associate
Job Description:
The Help Desk Level 2 Associate is the frontline staff member responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to desktops, laptops, and other user devices. Generally, Level 2 handles breaks/fixes, configuration issues, troubleshooting, software installations, and hardware repair including in-house repair or coordinating depot services. Level 2 will escalate issues to Level 3 on an as needed basis due to inability to solve the situation. Level 2 will respond to queries, run diagnostic programs, isolate problems, and determine and implement solutions. The Food Safety Auditor is responsible for conducting audits in accordance with food safety and quality management systems. Auditors travel to client sites, perform inspections, determine compliance, review corrective actions, and submit their audit reports for review and certification. This is a remote, full-time employee position with SCS. Preferred candidates are located in California, Southeastern US, and Pacific Northwest.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Audit Coordination
- Work with SCS’s Client Services team to accept/confirm audits
- Prepare and send client audit plan according to protocols
- Book travel, hotel, and transportation according to company policy, and submit expense reports
- Audit Services
- Conduct technical reviews in the off-season and during downtimes
- Adhere to all quality and code of conduct standards
- Conduct audits using applicable checklists, forms, and tools
- Maintain positive client relationships and respond to all client inquiries and concerns
- Submit complete and accurate audit reports within established timelines
- Program Quality and Compliance
- Attend training to maintain qualification to conduct audits; maintain training records
- Maintain up to date knowledge of applicable regulations and standards
- Prepare clients for the audit process by sending the required audit plan
- Conduct technical report reviews in the slow season or during downtimes
Administration
- Assist in the collection of documents as needed as part of the audit process
- Assist with the development and maintenance of program quality documents
- Ensure thorough client records are maintained
Qualifications
- A strong passion for food safety and sustainability
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Highly organized and deadline-driven with superior time management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, plant science, crop and soil science, food science, food technology, or other related scientific areas of study or an Associate’s degree in other related food science may also be acceptable
- 5+ years of industry experience in a practical capacity on a farm or in a technical production management role related to food crops
- Experience with GFSI audit standards (GLOBALG.A.P & PrimusGFS)
- Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Database systems
- Must be willing to travel up to 75% - mostly overnight travel throughout the U.S.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Additional Preferred Training
- Accredited 16 Hour HACCP training
- Food Hygiene training on water quality, organic fertilizer, personal hygiene, equipment, and other agricultural food safety challenges
- IPM pesticide and fertilizer training
- Lead Auditor Training
- Prior GFSI auditing experience strongly preferred
- Preferred locations: California, Southeastern US, Pacific Northwest
- Preferred languages: Bilingual English/Spanish

This role is a senior leadership sales role relative to leading and managing the Dole Diversified sales team in North America. This role along with the team is responsible for selling the geography of North America on all aspects of Dole Diversified products. This role will have P&L responsibility for the Dole Diversified North America sales.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION
- Hire, train, motivate and lead the Dole Diversified sales team to ensure the team achieves selling daily volume and price objectives for all Dole Diversified products.
- Assign customer/geography responsibilities by salesperson.
- Establish annual budgets for each commodity by customer.
- Lead the new business process and expanding business with existing customers.
- Ensure invoicing and allowances are handled properly and timely.
- Conduct quarterly sales business reviews with key strategic customers.
- Work cross functionally with transportation/logistics, agriculture operations, innovations, marketing, category management and other dole sales teams to drive profitable growth.

INTERNAL & EXTERNAL RELATIONS
External Interaction:
- Account leadership/buying groups – selling the Dole concepts to secure and grow profitable business.

- Account AP Department – ensure proper payment of Dole invoices per Dole payment terms.

Internal Interaction:
- Dole Diversified leadership – allows for business planning and P&L discussions.
- Dole Diversified finance – discussions around payment terms, financial proforma models, customer profitability reports.
- Marketing – ability to discuss new item creation opportunities as well as programs to drive sales of established programs.
- Category development – working collaboratively to understand sales trends of the customer and build strategic sales growth plans based on the analysis.
- Supply chain – establish supply chain logistic parameters that meet the standards of Dole and the customer.
- Quality control – reporting of quality or food safety issues between the customer and Dole.
Required Experience
- 10-15 years sales management experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal skills, negotiation skills, decision making skills.
- Strong understanding of account P&L.
- Knowledge and ability to use basic software programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Cognos and Syndicated data.
- Understanding of basics relative to production and quality control, understanding of commodity markets and personnel management and leadership.
- Knowledge of perishable supply chain logistics, integrated account management and basic qualitative and quantitative consumer needs analysis.
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION
- Bachelor of Arts or Science degree in Business Management/Sales or a minimum of 10 years of Business Management/Sales experience.

As a Sales Representative, you will work directly with existing customers and new prospects to book produce orders, provide customer service, establish beneficial relationships, and meet sales quotas that align with Kingsburg Orchards business goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain & build sales business with existing customer base
- Build additional business with new customers
- Excellent daily communication with management, sales, and production teams
- Implement sales and service strategies to meet Kingsburg Orchards sales and strategic goals
- Know and understand the product, create new markets and fill the need
- Daily participation in monitoring aging product inventory and sell accordingly
- Travel: customer visits and industry functions as needed
- Diligent maintenance of accounts receivables
General Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in produce sales, buying, and account management with retail, wholesale, and/or food service clients with emphasis on experience with retail sales and tree fruit background
- College degree preferred but not required in lieu of produce sales experience
- Must be available to work weekends during peak season
- Strong technical skills, including Famous, MS Office 365, Google Docs, & produce industry EDI platforms (Itrade, etc.), along with ability to learn new applications quickly
