Job Description: The Sales Coordinator is responsible for helping the sales team by answering incoming calls, entering orders, and assisting customers with their needs.
Job Duties:
- Support the Sales team in the following:
- Order Entry
- Act as an extension of the sales team when they are away from the office
- Provide customers updates on their orders
- Communicate with customers via phone and email
- Send order passing’s as requested by customer or sales team
- Answer incoming customer phone calls by
- Aiding the customer
- Redirecting the appropriate salesperson
- Perform administrative functions
- Help analyze data in terms of forecasting or customer ordering trends
Requirements:

Job Description: The Avocado Account/Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining strong customer relationships with existing and new clients. They will be required to sell fresh avocados as well as assist in selling the other company commodities when needed.
Job Duties:
- Work closely with the VP of Avocados in building a target list of customers
- Identify and strategically pursue opportunities based on industry trends
- Understand and analyze the avocado market, including:
- Daily market quotes, short-term advance pricing and contract pricing
- Sales planning and market forecasting
- Customer forecasting
- Track and analyze customers buying frequencies
- Travel to attend industry and customer-specific trade shows, conferences, and meetings with prospective and existing customers
- Work closely with the accounting team in managing own accounts receivables
Requirements:
- Have an established book of business

Outside Sales Representative
Job Description:
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for growing market share in the designated markets. Responsible for satisfying customer needs and meeting management objectives. Must maintain and grow customer base by penetrating existing accounts and opening new accounts. Develop a close working relationship with customers and all internal company departments.
The territory for this position will cover the following counties - (San Francisco - Oakland - Berkeley).
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing existing customer base. Visit weekly, provide marketing flyers, menu ideas and market updates.
- Prospecting/opening new accounts to meet company objectives and CMP goals.
- Pricing and order-guide building
- Collecting past due balances
- Attend all sales meetings and trainings
- Maintain a great working relationship with customer service department and operational teams.
QUALIFICATIONS

Heavy Laborer (Salinas, CA – Work St.)
PART-TIME and FULL-TIME POSITIONS AVAILABLE ($17.00-$18.00)
VARYING SCHEDULES
SATURDAY DIFFERENTIAL = $5/HOUR
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Under direct supervision, the employee will be assigned to work at one of the various indoor production lines in the processing, blending area mixing product, dryer area moving product between conveyors to dryer to transport incline lines and packing departments; will be cross trained, outside on wash bin line washing large bins, and will rotated among 6 workstations within production areas; will manually move containers with various clean green products; on average will rotate into one of Heavy Labor positions every two - four hours; will be responsible for lifting containers with product, feeding dryers, adding rolls of film on bagger and clam shell lines, will palletizing and move out pallet of finish product, quality control duties and general clean up duties, will perform addition job duties as needed and required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (other duties may be assigned as needed):
- Blending Line: Will lift plastic containers with product to be emptied into mix transfer conveyor. Pull product out of large bins, assist with moving pallet of product on roller racks.
- Dumpers: Will climb a stationary ladder to stand on a platform; will assist in loosening product from large bin using a plastic tool dump onto a transport conveyor; observe and inspect produce on conveyer belt visually, will use hands to move large bin.
- Dryer Area: Will be working in a fast paced area moving plastic containers with wet product from conveyors to put containers inside dryers; pull out container with product out of dryers to be stacked on pallets to be dumped onto transfer conveyors.
- Palletizing: Will be working in a fast paced environment pulling boxes of product off conveyor to stack on pallets. Stacked boxes will be tied before moving pallet out of the line area with manual pallet jack or electric pallet jack.
- PMO: Will work either individually or with coworkers to operate the bagger and or clam shell machines, adding and removing film rolls / label rolls, maintaining equipment speeds.
- Wash Bin Line: Will individually or with coworker outside, wash out large bins using pressure hoses; tilt bin upright when finished; clean blending / mixing equipment using pressure hoses standing on a platform.
- Quality Control:At all stages of production all employees are responsible for the quality control of product be managed or ran by employee. Will be responsible reporting any quality control issues immediately to supervisor and will perform additional quality control duties as needed and required.
- Clean Up Duties: Employee will be responsible for the cleanup and organization of his or her immediate work area. Will be responsible for immediately removing any safety hazards around immediate work area e.g. debris, trash. Will perform like cleanup of immediate work area at the end of shift.
- Meeting and Training Attendance: Department updates are conducted on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. All employees are required to attend and take notes of new policies and procedures and production standards. Will attend safety in skill-based training as needed and required.
- Attendance and Punctuality:Employee is required to have punctual attendance for days assigned in work. Will be required to participate in cross training rotation program on production floor. Will need to be timely during transition periods production running. Will need to perform essential functions at assigned stationdepartment. Will need to be flexible and can be assigned to work in other departments/stations as needed. Will be required to keep up with production standards in the processing of produce goods. Under direct supervision, the employee will be assigned to work at one of the various production lines in the processing, inspecting, and packing departments. Will be cross trained and rotated among 8 workstations within production areas. Will manually pick various clean green products and on average will rotate into one of eight positions every two - four hours. Will be responsible for product inspection, slicing / cutting product, sorting, clam feeding, sealing and clam packing, bag sorting and packing, box making, box feeding, quality control duties and general clean up duties. Will perform additional job duties as needed and required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (other duties may be assigned as needed):
- Blending Line: will lift plastic containers with product to be emptied into mix transfer conveyor.
- Product Inspection: While standing, will observe and inspect produce on conveyer belt and use hands to sort produce removing damaged items or any foreign material found.
- Reliquio Line: While standing next to work table will remove product from plastic container and place on table, manually cut produce and put into another container.
- Whole Leaf Line: While standing will pick product out of plastic container, remove damage leafs, sort and place on moving conveyor; from transport conveyor separates leaf to place inside containers to go through label machine and down to packing area.
- Scale Attendant: Will work either individually or with coworkers to manually distribute product over scales to distribute even amounts for dispenser.
- Box Making Line: Will manipulate, fold and assemble boxes into shape; boxes will then be feed individually into the box packing drop slot.
- Bag Line: Sealed bags with produce are individually counted and placed in large boxes for shipping; will handle approximately 20 to 30 boxes per minute.
- Clam Line:Will place trays of produce onto specialized conveyor belt, were clam trays are fed into the wrapper feeder; will push product down with both hands, will close lids, and pull irregularly clam trays from line; will remove label r and re-feed into the wrapping process.
- Pack Out Line: While standing will manage, oversee quality control of product at assigned area and will perform additional production duties as needed and required.

Quality Assurance Supervisor
Job Description:
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Initiate, implement and enforce Quality Assurance and Food Safety programs for maintaining best quality and safe food product by managing resources, quality and food safety activities in the plant. The candidate must possess good knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and quality control system, and basic knowledge of sanitation skills. Understands and communicates quality and food safety program and policies to promptly to Management, subordinates, peers and other managers as necessary. Possesses an ability to direct subordinates and conduct analytical practices to support quality processes and policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Individuals must possess these knowledge, skills and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
- Manage HACCP Program execution for Value-Added Products.
- Implement and communicate information on Food safety programs, manufacturing problems.
- Assist, as needed, on plant trials and new product launches.
- Responsible for assuring the finished product quality is consistent with specifications. Utilize the SOP’s to ensures that the plant operates in accordance with good manufacturing practices and are in compliance with federal and state regulatory policies and the products are processed per organicgirl standards.
- Identify food safety and process improvement ideas for implementation.

- Help as needed to investigate customer complaint issues and implement corrective action in the plant with timely responses and solutions.
- Responsible for training and development of staff and plant employees to organicgirl procedures, policies, GMPs.
- Manage QA and Sanitation staff in regards, time scheduling, OT management, time off scheduling, ADP management, dispute resolution, interview for open QA positions and assist in hiring decisions, safety and illness reports.
- Ensures that all product files are kept up to date on each product and programs.
- Identify workplace safety hazards and develop ideas and solution to correct promptly.
- Manage daily sanitation and pest control activities.
- Participate in production improvement projects.
- Coordinate with operational plan to reduce overall customer complaints on product produced on each shift.
- Ability to design data collection formats, ensure data is collected accurately and design reports that are statistically sound.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directly supervises QA technicians and Day time sanitation, two crew leaders, and indirectly distribution.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- AS degree in food science or agricultural science. Bachelor’s degree preferred and a background in microbiology a plus.
- Two (2) years of experience in food manufacturing, preferably in fresh cut produce or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Working knowledge of suite of Microsoft programs such as, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Literate in English and Spanish preferred.
- Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents including SOPs, GMPs, and policies.
- The candidate should be able to write legibly and effectively to management.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Ability to calculate proportions, percentages, and volume. Statistical analysis preferred.
- Must be able to apply concepts of high school mathematics aptitude testing.
REASONING ABILITY:

Warehouse Supervisor – 2nd Shift
Job Description:
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Responsible for supervising the warehousing function which includes incoming and outgoing material such as receiving and cooling of raw product, receiving of packaging materials, inventory management, dispatching, warehouse personnel, and order pick, stage, and load. Utilize available resources (staff and equipment) to move product in the safest and most cost effective manner to meet or exceed customer expectations and to achieve site and company goals. Hire, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of warehouse. Establish and promote activities and processes in compliance with the company’s premium product standards. Develop good employee relations following the company compass. Ensure employees are adhering to State and Federal Wage and Hour laws and the Union contract.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (other duties may be assigned as needed):
- Responsible for the direct supervision of warehouse employees. Communicate job tasks, key operating indicators, and safety expectations. Ensures that direct reports follow company policy and procedures by training, coaching, counseling when necessary.

Learn the following and related SOP’s and assist Supervisor/Manager with day-to-day execution of warehouse activities outlined below to include management and scheduling of personnel:
- Receiving function: how to receive raw product i.e. weight, tag, enter into inventory system, cool, and place in cold storage.
- Inventory Management: how raw product and finished goods are tracked and managed in Navision (ERP system) and in the physical warehouse.
- Dispatching function and its relation to raw receiving: learn how the inventory management, production, finished goods, customer service, and the order pick, stage and load process works.
- For shipping, order picking, staging, and loading: how orders are put together and assigned to forklift drivers and how forklift drivers execute the orders.
- ERP Navision system: how to use Navision and how it works in relation to the following functions, raw receiving, raw product storage, production, finished goods, dispatching, the picking/staging/loading process, and the appointment system.
- Personnel management: a) fundamentals of interviewing and hiring, legal do’s and don’ts, job postings and selection per the CBA. b) fundamentals of termination, legal do’s and don’ts. c) how to schedule personnel to ensure coverage. d) fundamentals of employee relations and discipline, how to build relationships with employees and motivate a workforce, legal do’s and don’ts. e) how to investigate safety incidents, fill out incident reports, conduct facility inspections, report and correct safety hazards, Industrial Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) and OSHA, forklift inspection and safety. f) state and federal regulations related to minimum wage, regular vs overtime pay, meal and rest periods, pay date and pay periods, final pay, timely pay. g) how to correct a timecard and timecard punches, how to access and read a timecard. h) CBA and its application in relation to the aforementioned.
- Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety and HACCP fundamentals and how they apply.
- Assist Supervisor/Manager in the implementation of tailgate or other trainings and the development of training topics and content.
- Assist Supervisor/Manager and/or participate in OFP related projects and project work which may include documenting and implementing processes.
- Be a back-up to warehouse supervisor and dispatch depending on the need.
- Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
No direct reports. Will assist Supervisor/Manager with day-to-day tasks associated with supervising personnel.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Individuals must possess these knowledge, skills, and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of work experience and course work in a related field. Equivalent education and work experience may consist of high school diploma or G.E.D. and related industry training and 5 years inventory or warehouse experience as a dispatcher, forklift operator, or inventory clerk.
- Knowledge of customer requirements, loading systems, and inventory systems is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Some experience with ERP systems preferably Navision.
- Knowledge of food safety, good manufacturing practices, general plant safety practices and procedures.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must be able to speak, read and write fluently in English/Spanish.
- Must be able communicate in a professional manner with sales representatives, customers, truckers, vendors, management etc.
- Must be at least 18 years of age to work in food processing plant.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Excellent people/problem solving skills is required.
- Ability to read and interpret documents (such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals).
- Ability to learn and demonstrate leadership skills such as planning, organizing, staffing, leading, controlling & communicating.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to learn and demonstrate how to build, coach, train and motivate personnel, while holding employees accountable for results.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines.
- Ability to implement new processes.
- Ability to learn and demonstrate how to defuse and resolve employee conflicts in a respectful, appropriate, and positive manner.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Basic math skills with demonstrated ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers to assure proper inventory counts and fulfillment of customer orders.
