Why Fruit & Vegetable Day in Texas Schools?

To promote awareness of the health benefits of fruits and vegetables and to
encourage students to consume more fruits and vegetables during Texas Fruit
and Vegetable Month.

  • April is Fruit & Vegetable Month in Texas.
  • Fruit & Vegetable Day for Texas schools will be celebrated every first
    Friday in the month of April.
