Job Description: Supervise and coordinate during seasonal and off-season periods to maintain product flow with maximum efficiency, and minimum loss, and maintain and improve the facility’s assets in accordance with NatureBest. Ensure compliance with NatureBest Policies and Procedures which include Good Manufacturing Practices, Quality, Food Safety Systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the entire plant’s activities on one shift during processing periods to produce according to pack plan in terms of size, variety, quality, and cost while maintaining safety and sanitation standards.
  • Schedule the work of various departments to obtain maximum efficiency and minimum waste and loss of product.
  • Ensure the desired level of NatureBest quality standards are maintained in both the factory departments that are preparing the products and, in the warehouse, where finished products are labeled and cased.
  • Meet financial budget plans
  • Supervise the proper maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment in all departments and ensure that necessary spare parts are available for emergency repairs.
  • Supervise the daily check on materials to ensure adequate materials and supplies are on hand and in order to meet operating requirements.
  • Maintain overall environmental, safety, and sanitation standards of the plant and enforce compliance of all personnel and departments in accordance with Corporate/Plant safety and sanitation policies/guidelines.
  • Improve plant safety awareness through effective use of STOP and weekly tailgate meetings. Supervise employee training to ensure compliance with Corporate Vision, Mission, and Values.
  • Design and coordinate future plant installations.
  • Settle minor employee grievances and disputes and answer general questions concerning work processes and corporate policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or Business Management, or a related field preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience as a Processing Supervisor with experience in Warehouse Operations.
  • Mentor and train Supervisor Processing and Hourly Departmental Supervisors.
  • Organize and conduct meetings.
  • Meet with vendors and maintain knowledge of new technology.
  • Evaluate the performance of subordinates.
  • Ensure product safety through development, review, and enforcement of company policy.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and corporate food safety regulatory standards.
  • Review and enforce company quality standards provided by facility, regional and corporate quality authorities.
