If you are looking to apply restricted-use, state-limited use or regulated herbicides and need a private applicators license to do so, we will be hosting a Private Applicators License Training at our office on March 21, 2024 to prepare you for the exam to obtain the license.  The Texas Department of Agriculture defines a Private Pesticide Applicator as follows:

A private pesticide applicator is someone who uses or supervises the use of restricted-use or state-limited-use pesticides or regulated herbicides to produce an agricultural commodity on:

  • Personally owned property;
  • Rented property;
  • Property owned by his or her employer;
  • Property under his or her general control; or
  • The property of another person if applied without compensation, other than the trading of personal services between producers of agricultural commodities.

Our office is located at 410 North 13th Avenue, Edinburg, TX. 78541.  We are opening up the training to 20 participants at this time.  Please pre-register at, https://hidalgo.agrilife.org/home/agriculture/pst/.

If you have any questions, feel free to call me.

Sincerely,
