Job Summary: This position is responsible for assisting the Sanitation Supervisor ensuring that the company adheres to the state sanitation protocols. The Sanitation Lead assures that all company sanitizing policies are being met, perform daily inspections, and be in leadership of the sanitation staff duties. Will work with management to ensure efficiency and safety.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
• Must ensure compliance with all standard operating procedures. This includes all third-party audits and regulatory inspections.
• Responsible for collaborating with Quality Control and Production to resolve food safety issues.
• Train all Sanitation team members properly in all facets of the department policies and procedures prior executing task.
• Keep sanitation personnel encourage to accomplish company objectives.
• Ensure the team adheres with SSOPs.
• Responsible for supervising assigned employees, ensuring effective selection, retention, feedback, disciplinary action, and performance management.
• Ensure facility maintenance through general housekeeping practices, keeping freight secure, and maintaining the assets to the facility.
• Create a structured, orderly chemical storage and sanitation supply area.
• Document plant procedures related to cleaning chemicals and cleaning schedules.
• Maintain records and daily logs. Prepare periodic activity and reports for review.
• Monitor stock of supplies and maintain records of supplies used.
• Plan and direct plant sanitation procedures, programs and regulatory requirements to ensure all plant equipment and facility is clean and safe for production.

• Promote safe working conditions/practices, ensure proper use of equipment and chemicals, report conditions unsafe to employees or product.
• Have knowledge of the manufacturing process and equipment to ensure proper sanitation.
• Will be involved with food safety activities.
Other Responsibilities and Duties:
• Must always wear employee badge ID inside the facility.
• Follow the chain of command.
• Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize work to meet assigned deadlines.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.
• Weekend shift must be assigned as needed.

Physical Demand and Work Environment:

• Physical demands: While performing the duties of the job, the employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; stand, use hands and arms. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds. • Working Conditions: Ability to work flexible shifts, such as morning or evenings, including Saturdays and Sundays. Ability to work with vibration, wide variety of noise, heat, cold and moving parts. Must be able to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ability to be punctual and reliable. Commitment to safety. Employee must be able to work on Extreme cold.
