Chief Operations Officer (Mission, TX), Dvlp & implement operational strategic plan to advance the org’s mission & objectives & to promote revenue, profitability, & growth as an org.
Dvlp & direct operations.
Oversee & manage all operations using all discretionary authority avail.
Provide leadership to the co & mgmt of its operations.
Review activity reports & financial statements to determine progress & status in attaining operational objectives & revise objectives & plan as necessary.
Direct any operational planning & improve operational policy making.
Plan, direct, & coord operational activities at the highest level of mgmt w/the help of subordinate executives & staff managers.
Plan, dvlp, & implement operational goals.
Approve operational procedures, policies, & standards.
Provide support & advice to CEO for dvlpng pricing strategies, balancing firm objectives & customer satisfaction.
Exercise ultimate authority on operating personnel & personnel decisions.
Oversee the implementation of the operational long & short-term plans in accordance w/its CEO strategy.
Ensure the co’s is appropriately organized & staffed.
Ensure that operating expenditures are w/in the authorized annual budget.
Assess the principal operational risks & to ensure that these risks are being monitored & managed.
Must have a Bach’s deg in Biz reltd disciplines, Mgmt reltd disciplines & Int’l Biz reltd disciplines.
Must have Mgmt exp in the Int’l & local wholesale Fruit & Avacado Biz.
Spec Reqs:
Human mgmt & leadership skills; Interpersonal relationship skills; Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Ability & willingness to travel abroad; Knowledge in general agricultural produce & specific avocado species & knowledge of the Foreign Supplier Verification Programs (FSVP).
Must travel to Mexico at least twice a yr.
